eGiro Application

Here’s How to Get Started:

• Log in to your internet banking login page using your user ID and password.
•  Choose the bank account you want to make the payment from.
•  Once your application is approved, you will get a confirmation from the bank.

  Note: You can only use a personal bank account for eGIRO application. For DBS/POSB bank account holders, you can use either a personal or CDA account for eGIRO arrangements.

What is eGiro?

eGIRO stands for Electronic GIRO. It is a digital initiative that digitises the GIRO application process.

The goal is to significantly reduce the GIRO set-up turnaround time. This is a joint initiative by The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) and Participating Banks.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) supports the initiative. The eGIRO service will process applications efficiently and securely within minutes. It enables users to set up GIRO instructions in real time.

The 8 major participating banks are:

• Bank of China
• DBS Bank/POSB
• The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC)
• Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC)
• Maybank
• OCBC Bank
• Standard Chartered Bank
• UOB
